Job summary

AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) seeks a Pharmacy Technician to contribute as a Level I technician per the AHF Pharmacy Policy. You will be part of a close-knit team, supporting patient care, maintaining privacy, and facilitating the exchange of patient demographics and medication treatment plans with healthcare providers.

This role emphasizes stigma sensitivity toward HIV, and adherence to AHF core values while delivering compassionate service within a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• State pharmacy technician license (if applicable).
• PTCB certification preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with healthcare providers to exchange patient demographics and medication treatment plans.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality in all interactions.
• Support a collaborative, patient-centered team aligned with AHF core values.

Job description

A Pharmacy Technician contributes to AHF by demonstrating the competencies of a Level I Technician as described in the Scope of Practice and Responsibilities found in the AHF Pharmacy Policy, Procedure and Training manual, in addition to the specifics of the job classification below.

A Pharmacy Technician enhances the reputation of AHF by Being sensitive to the "stigma" of HIV and associated comorbidities, understanding the difficulty of treating chronic diseases, barriers to care, and the importance of patients' needs to maintain anonymity and privacy.

The Pharmacy Technician will work as a part of a close-knit team to establish and maintain good working relationships with healthcare providers, staff and referral sources to facilitate the exchange of patient demographics and medication treatment plans.

Licenses and Certifications: state pharmacy technician license (if applicable), PTCB, IMZ, CPR preferrable.
