Job summary

AIDS Healthcare Foundation seeks a Pharmacy Technician who will contribute to the team by applying Level I technician competencies per the AHF Pharmacy Policy, Procedure and Training manual and the specific job classification. You will be a passionate advocate for our initiatives and support colleagues in delivering patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Licenses and Certifications: state pharmacy technician license (if applicable), PTCB, IMZ, CPR preferrable.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate Level I Technician competencies per the Scope of Practice and Responsibilities in the AHF Pharmacy Policy, Procedure and Training manual.
• Establish and maintain good working relationships with healthcare providers, staff and referral sources to facilitate patient demographics and medication treatment plans.
• Support privacy and confidentiality for patients to address stigma related to HIV and associated comorbidities.

Education

Job description

A Pharmacy Technician contributes to AHF by demonstrating the competencies of a Level I Technician as described in the Scope of Practice and Responsibilities found in the AHF Pharmacy Policy, Procedure and Training manual, in addition to the specifics of the job classification below.

A Pharmacy Technician enhances the reputation of AHF by Being sensitive to the “stigma” of HIV and associated comorbidities, understanding the difficulty of treating chronic diseases, barriers to care, and the importance of patients’ needs to maintain anonymity and privacy.
