Job summary

Pharmacy First Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join our Delphos, OH team. You will assist the pharmacist in accurately filling prescriptions, processing orders, handling billing questions, and maintaining a compliant pharmacy environment.

This role supports patient care in a fast-paced setting, with emphasis on confidentiality, accurate documentation, and collaborative teamwork with the pharmacist and staff.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.

• Basic computer proficiency; pharmacy software experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Fill and dispense prescription medications with accuracy.
• Receive and process prescription orders from patients and providers.
• Manage inventory, stock shelves, and flag low-supply items.
• Handle POS transactions, process insurance claims, and assist patients with billing questions.
• Maintain a clean, compliant pharmacy environment per state and federal regulations.
• Communicate clearly with patients and direct complex questions to the pharmacist.
• Uphold patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirements.

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist in accurately filling and dispensing prescription medications.
• Receive and process prescription orders from patients, physicians, and healthcare providers.
• Manage and maintain pharmacy inventory, including receiving deliveries, stocking shelves, and flagging low-supply items.
• Handle point-of-sale transactions, process insurance claims, and assist patients with billing questions.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant pharmacy environment in accordance with state and federal regulations.
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients to answer general inquiries and direct complex questions to the pharmacist.
• Uphold patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA requirements at all times.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent (required).
• Possession of or willingness to obtain applicable state pharmacy technician registration or licensure as required by state law.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable working directly with patients.
• Basic computer proficiency; experience with pharmacy software is a plus but not required.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and manage a busy, team-oriented workspace.
