Job summary

C002 Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) is seeking a Pharmacy Technician in New York. You will work in a team to evaluate medication requests and facilitate prior authorizations. Job Overview

Work with a team of pharmacists and other pharmacy technicians to evaluate infusion medication requests and facilitate the prior authorization process. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and time management skills, be able to work in a team environment to provide safe and efficient care to patients through timely completion of the prior authorizations, follow-through on all assigned tasks, be accountable for assigned work metrics, and a commitment to optimizing medication access for patients. Previous experience with completion of prior authorizations preferred.

Compensation and Hours

Hourly position. Regular hours: 40 hours per week. Work shift: Not eligible for remote flexibility; onsite only.

Eligibility and Requirements

Education: High School Degree or Equivalent.

Work Experience: 0‑6 months.

Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician by the State of South Carolina Board of Pharmacy (SCBOP) is required and must be maintained. Must obtain and maintain Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or ExCPT). Team members are required to be certified within 1 year of 11/1/2023. New team members must be certified within 6 months of hire. New team members enrolled in an accredited pharmacy technician training program have 30 days post‑program completion to obtain certification.
