  • Complete basic inventory activities as permitted by law and directed by pharmacy leadership: putting medication deliveries away, completing cycle counts, returns‑to‑stacks, waiting‑bin inventories, etc.
  • Be a part of a high‑performing team: embrace a growth mindset, seek opportunities to expand clinical and technical knowledge.
  • Remain flexible for schedules and business needs, including the possibility of traveling to other stores in the market for shifts.
  • Understand and comply with all federal, state, and local laws, regulations, professional standards, and ethical principles. Maintain patient privacy and security and follow CVS policies for controlled‑substance dispensing and record‑keeping.
  • Provide additional patient health care services (e.g., immunizations, point‑of‑care testing, and volunteering at off‑site clinics) where allowable by law and supported by required training and certification.
Immunization Duties (where permissible)
  • Complete additional licensure and training requirements to obtain Technician Immunizer status.
  • Educate patients about vaccine importance and refer vaccination questions to the pharmacist‑on‑duty.
  • Monitor and respond to adverse reactions, reporting events per public health requirements.
  • Review and document patient information for each applicable visit.
  • Monitor and manage vaccine supplies.
Required Qualifications
  • Comply with state board of pharmacy requirements governing the practice of pharmacy, including age, education, and licensure/certification.
  • State‑level licensure and national certification requirements vary by state.
  • Minimum age 16 if not specified by the state board; high school diploma or equivalent if not specified.
Essential Functions
  • Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
  • Complete required training within designated timeframe.
  • Attention and Focus: concentrate on tasks, pivot quickly between tasks, confirm prescription information and label accuracy.
  • Customer Service and Team Orientation: act helpfully and friendly; read patient reactions and respond appropriately.
  • Communication Skills: use and understand verbal and written communication with patients and colleagues; practice active listening.
  • Mathematical Reasoning: use math to calculate prescription quantities.
  • Problem Resolution: identify challenging interactions and choose the best course of action.
  • Physical Demands: remain mobile and upright for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs, reach overhead, operate fingers precisely, and other tasks as described.
  • Perform any additional tasks as directed by Supervisor or Manager.
Preferred Qualifications
