MultiCare Health System, Inc. in Tacoma, WA is hiring a part-time Pharmacy Technician to support daily pharmacy operations.

In this staff-level role, you will assist with ordering supplies, stocking items, enter medication and billing information, answer calls, and perform extemporaneous compounding under pharmacist supervision. The position requires a High school diploma or GED and the Washington State Pharmacy Technician Certification; National Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in ordering of supplies from wholesaler and direct accounts, and verifies items received against invoices.
• Store items received and assist in maintaining stock levels, dating and initialing invoices and/or packing slips upon receipt.
• Enter customer’s medication and billing information into computer system.
• Answer and screen telephone calls and forwards as needed.
• Perform extemporaneous compounding under pharmacist supervision.

However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education.
