Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be 18 years old
  • Ability to handle highly confidential information
  • Meets minimum state requirements to perform the functions related to the position

Desired Qualifications:

  • Any previous comparable experience
  • Any equivalent experience of a pharmacy clerk
  • EPRN familiarity

Responsibilities include:

  • Comply with local, state, and federal regulations; report all illegal activity, including robbery, theft, or fraud
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and safety regulations, guidelines, procedures, and programs according to company, local, state, and federal health codes; identify unsafe conditions and notify management
  • Understand and perform ordering functions with primary and secondary wholesalers
  • Follow company guidelines on inventory management, control, and ordering of medications, devices, and supplies
  • Maintain departmental standards, including clean and organized workstations and customer areas
  • Count, measure, and prepare specified products using best practices
  • Complete billing procedures accurately to ensure value for customers and the company
  • Answer phones, triage calls, and handle inquiries appropriately
  • Adhere to guidelines on accepting and tendering vendor coupons, cash shortages, and shrink guidelines
  • Operate the cash register following all policies to prevent loss, including handling electronic transactions and cash
  • Provide a stellar customer experience while accurately completing reception, data entry, adjudication, and product dispensing
  • Assist pharmacists with responsibilities that do not require professional judgment
  • Follow HIPAA regulations and company policies regarding patient confidentiality
  • Support health and wellness initiatives
  • Manage legend orders and Central Fill deliveries
  • Work cooperatively in high-paced, stressful environments
  • Manage conflicts professionally and cooperatively
  • Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
  • Follow directions and seek assistance when needed
  • Support interactions with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
  • Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations
