Job summary

UW Health Swedish American Hospital in Rockford, IL, is hiring a Pharmacy Technician for 100% FTE with a 6:00am–10:30pm schedule, every other weekend, and rotating holidays at 1401 E State St. Position includes evening/night/weekend differential, overtime, and on-call pay.

Job description

100% FTE Monday-Friday, 6:00am-10:30pm, every other weekend, rotating holidays. You will work at UW Health Swedish American Hospital 1401 E State St.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED or presently attending high school. Required

Work Experience

• Retail pharmacy or hospital experience is preferred, in particular in the following areas: unit dose distribution, compounding non-sterile medications, IV admixture including USP and , and automated dispensing machine technology. Preferred

Licenses & Certifications

• Current licensure from the State of Illinois. Candidates without a license may work in this role for 60 days from date of license application through Illinois Department of Professional and Financial Regulation. Those enrolled in an ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy are exempt from certification requirements, but will need to obtain a "Pharmacy Technician- Student Designation" license from IDFPR. Required
• Completion of Pharmacy Technician Certification within two (2) years of date license was first issued. Required
