Genoa Healthcare, part of UnitedHealth Group, is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support the Genoa mental health pharmacy, primarily dispensing prescriptions and performing clerical tasks under a pharmacist's supervision.

Located at 975 Solomons Island Rd, Prince Frederick, MD, the role offers 8-hour shifts Monday through Thursday 8:30am-5:00pm and Fridays 8:00am-4:30pm, with a 1:00–1:30 lunch break.

Qualifications

• Active Maryland Pharmacy Technician license (unrestricted).
• Access to reliable transportation with a valid US Driver's License.
• Onsite work at 975 Solomons Island Rd, Prince Frederick, MD 20678.
• Hours: Mon-Thu 8:30am-5:00pm and Fri 8:00am-4:30pm.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to consumers and clinic.
• Fills prescription orders and makes them available for verification under the pharmacist supervision.
• Order, receive, and store incoming pharmacy supplies.
• Receive and process wholesaler medication orders.
• Verify medication stock and maintain inventory records.

We seek aPharmacy Technicianto support all functions of the Genoa mental health pharmacy, primarily through dispensing medical prescriptions and performing necessary clerical duties while under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist.

Hours: 8-hour shifts Monday through Thursday between the hours of 8:30am-5:00pm and Fridays from 8:00am-4:30pm with lunch from 1:00pm to 1:30pm

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional customer service to all consumers and clinic
• Fills prescription orders and makes them available for verification under direct supervision of the registered pharmacist
• Orders, receives, and stores incoming pharmacy supplies
• Receives and processes wholesaler medication orders
• Verifies medication stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records
• Works with the Pharmacist to assist in the pharmacy functions and keeping the pharmacy in compliance with all federal and state requirements
• Performs various clerical duties relating to the department
• Communicates with strong professional verbal and written communication skills
• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• Activeand unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Maryland
• Access to reliable transportation with a valid US Driver's License
• Ability to work onsite at 975 Solomons Island Rd. Prince Frederick, MD 20678, Monday through Thursday between the hours of 8:30am-5:00pm and Fridays from 8:00am-4:30pm

Preferred Qualifications:

• National Pharmacy Technician Certification
• Pharmacy and prescription data entry experience

The hourly pay for this role will range from $16.00 to $29.00 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
