Job summary

Genoa Healthcare, part of Optum and UnitedHealth Group, seeks a Pharmacy Technician to support dispensing and clerical duties under a Pharmacist’s supervision at our Milford, MA location. The role emphasizes accuracy, customer service, and compliance with state and federal requirements.

Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm EST, with a focus on delivering quality patient care, inventory management, and collaboration with the clinic team.

Qualifications

• Ability to use own car to make deliveries when needed

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to clinic staff and consumers
• Fills prescription orders and verifies under direct supervision of Pharmacist
• Orders, receives and stores pharmacy supplies
• Processes wholesaler medication orders
• Verifies medication stock and updates inventory records
• Supports pharmacy functions and ensures federal/state compliance
• Performs clerical duties within the department
• Communicates effectively in person and in writing
• May make deliveries when needed
• Other duties as assigned

We seek a Pharmacy Technician to support all functions of the Genoa mental health and specialty pharmacy primarily through dispensing medical prescriptions and performing necessary clerical duties while under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist.

Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm EST with lunch from 12:30pm to 1:00pm EST

Location: 176 West Street, Suite P, Milford, MA 01757

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional customer service to all consumers and members of the clinic staff
• Fills prescription orders and makes them available for verification under direct supervision of the Registered Pharmacist
• Orders, receives and stores incoming pharmacy supplies
• Receives and processes wholesaler medication orders
• Verifies medication stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records
• Works with the Pharmacist to assist in the pharmacy functions and keeping the pharmacy in compliance with all federal and state requirements
• Performs various clerical duties relating to the department
• Communicates with strong professional verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to make deliveries if needed
• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Massachusetts
• Access to reliable transportation and a valid US driver's license
• Ability to use your own car to make deliveries when needed

Preferred Qualifications:

• National Pharmacy Technician Certification
• Pharmacy and prescription data entry experience

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
