Job summary

Genoa Healthcare, a part of UnitedHealth Group, seeks a Pharmacy Technician to support the mental health and specialty pharmacy under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist.

Responsibilities include dispensing prescriptions, clerical duties, inventory management, and assisting with deliveries while ensuring compliance with federal and state requirements.

Qualifications

  • Active and unrestricted Texas Pharmacy Technician license.
  • 1+ years of Retail Pharmacy Technician experience within the last 3 years.
  • Access to reliable transportation and valid US driver's license.
  • Ability to use company vehicles to make deliveries within a 50-100-mile radius as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Provides exceptional customer service to all consumers and clinic staff.
  • Fills prescription orders and makes them available for verification under direct supervision of the Registered Pharmacist.
  • Orders, receives and stores incoming pharmacy supplies.
  • Receives and processes wholesaler medication orders.
  • Verifies medication stock and enters data to maintain inventory records.
  • Works with the Pharmacist to assist in pharmacy functions and ensure compliance with federal/state requirements.
  • Performs clerical duties relating to the department.
  • Communicates with strong professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Assists with deliveries to patients as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

We seek a Pharmacy Technician to support all functions of the Genoa mental health and specialty pharmacy primarily through dispensing medical prescriptions and performing necessary clerical duties while under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist.

Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm CST

Primary Responsibilities

  • Works with the Pharmacist to assist in the pharmacy functions and keeping the pharmacy in compliance with all federal and state requirements
  • Performs various clerical duties relating to the department
  • Communicates with strong professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Assists with deliveries to patients as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications
  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification
  • 2+ years of Pharmacy Technician experience

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $16.00 to $29.00 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
