Job summary

Texas Rehabilitation of Plano, a brand-new 40-bed inpatient rehabilitation facility opening in 2026, is seeking a pharmacy technician to support a growing team. Under the supervision of a pharmacist, you will fill orders, deliver medications, and help maintain inventory in a high‑quality, patient‑centered environment.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Licenses/Certification: Current State Certification/Licensure as required by state.

Responsibilities

• Fills orders with correct medications.
• Delivers medications to patient care areas and automated dispensing machines accurately and timely.
• Procures pharmaceutical and related supplies per contractual terms.
• Maintains appropriate pharmacy inventory levels
• Prepares pharmaceutical preparations including unit‑dosing medication and properly labeling any dispensed medications
• Processes records of medication and equipment dispensed to patient, computes charges, and enters data in computer.
• Generates required reports (e.g., pick list, expiring medications).
• Maintains temperature and environmental monitoring logs appropriately.
• Prioritizes work (e.g., stats made first).
• Restocks shelves and rotates stock.
• Properly disposes of non‑recyclable items.
• Maintains refrigerator temperature and other quality assurance logs.
• Receives and stores incoming supplies.
• Counts stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records.
• Returns medications to stock and rotates stock.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
