Responsibilities

• Medication Preparation & Dispensing: Prepare, package, label, and compound prescription medications under pharmacist oversight.
• Inventory & Automation: Maintain unit-dose supplies, manage Pyxis/Omnicell cabinets, monitor stock and expiry dates.
• Order Fulfillment & Logistics: Deliver medications to clinical floors and patient care areas in a timely, secure manner.
• Regulatory Compliance: Document, maintain clean-room standards where applicable, and follow state/federal regulations.

Shift & Work Schedule:

10 Hours/Day | 40 Hours/Week Guaranteed | Variable Shift Schedule Options.

• Shift Option 1: 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM.
• Shift Option 2: 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM.
• Shift Option 3: 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM.
• Shift Option 4: 11:00 AM – 9:30 PM.
• Weekend & Call Requirements: Every other weekend required | No on-call coverage.

Position Overview & Clinical Scope:

A healthcare system in the Petoskey, MI area is seeking a Temporary Pharmacy Technician for variable 10-hour shifts. Working under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician assists in preparing, packaging, and dispensing prescription medications while maintaining compliant pharmaceutical inventory protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Medication Preparation & Dispensing: Prepare, package, label, and compound prescription medications accurately under pharmacist oversight.
• Inventory & Automation: Maintain unit-dose medication supplies, manage automated dispensing cabinets (Pyxis/Omnicell), and monitor stock levels for expired or short-dated pharmaceuticals.
• Order Fulfillment & Logistics: Deliver medications to clinical floors and patient care areas in a timely, secure manner.
• Regulatory Compliance: Maintain rigorous documentation, clean room standards (if applicable), and recordkeeping in accordance with state and federal pharmacy regulations.
