Hartford HealthCare’s Backus Hospital in Norwich, CT, is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join the Pharmacy Department. The technician will support pharmacists in preparing, dispensing and distributing medications across hospital units and outpatient settings.
The role involves unit-dose dispensing, maintaining patient profiles, restocking crash carts, and ensuring barcode compliance. A high school diploma is required; CT registration within 30 days of hire is needed, with one year of experience

Shift Detail: Primarily day shift with coverage on evenings and overnights as needed, every other weekend, rotating holidays

The Pharmacy Department at Backus consists of Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacists who work together in a collaborative team environment meeting the needs of our patients.
Pharmacy Technicians assist Pharmacists in the preparation, dispensing and distribution of sterile and non-sterile medication throughout the hospital. Duties include:
High School Diploma required or equivalent.
One year experience as a pharmacy technician is preferred.
