Job summary

Backus Hospital, part of Hartford HealthCare, is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to support preparation, dispensing and distribution of sterile and non-sterile medications. You'll maintain records and inventory, following established procedures to ensure medications are ready for patient administration, under the supervision of the Pharmacy Supervisor.

Qualified candidates are currently enrolled in an accredited PharmD program and possess Connecticut Pharmacy Intern registration.

Qualifications

• Education: Currently enrolled in an accredited PharmD program.
• Pharmacy Intern registration with Connecticut DCP required by March 31st each year.
• Strong communication and analytical skills; good manual dexterity.

Responsibilities

• Assists pharmacists in preparation, dispensing and distribution of sterile and non-sterile medications; maintains records and inventory; reports to Pharmacy Supervisor.

Minimum Requirements

Education: Currently enrolled in an accredited PharmD program

Pharmacy Intern registration with Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection required by March 31st of each year.
