Job summary

Qualifications

• State license to practice pharmacy in the applying state is required.
• Additional licenses (4+ states) and PTCB certification are highly preferred.
• CPR certification is recommended.

Responsibilities

• Support exchange of patient demographics and medication treatment plans with the healthcare team.
• Collaborate with providers and referral sources to facilitate patient care.
• Remain sensitive to privacy concerns and advocate for patient needs within the clinic.
• Follow scope of practice and the training manual as outlined by the policy.

Contribution Profile

A Pharmacy Technician - Strategic Response Team (SRT) contributes to AHF by demonstrating the competencies of a Level II Technician as described in the Scope of Practice and Responsibilities found in the AHF Pharmacy Policy, Procedure and Training manual, in addition to the specifics of the job classification below.

A Pharmacy Technician - SRT enhances the reputation of AHF by remaining sensitive to the “stigma” of PLWH and associated comorbidities, understanding the difficulty of treating chronic diseases, barriers to care, and the importance of patients’ needs to maintain anonymity and privacy.
