Job Description

Location: Byfield, MA

Duration: 6 months+

Must Have: MA State Pharmacy Tech license.

Responsibilities include translating prescriptions filled out by the MDO and entering them into the patient’s profile, reviewing patient allergies, therapies, and current medications from various forms, and ensuring all information is complete and compliant with laws and regulations. Duties may vary based on business needs.

Essential Functions

1. Translate prescriptions from imaged prescriptions within an order status and enter into the patient’s profile. Input necessary supplies and update allergy, medication, or health condition information as needed. (40%)
2. Review patient’s allergies, therapies, and medications from different forms and update the patient profile. (30%)
3. Perform initial entry of prescriptions from imaged prescriptions in referral status and update patient profiles accordingly. (25%)
4. Perform other duties as needed. (3%)
5. Maintain good housekeeping, adhere to quality and safety standards, and comply with all safety and environmental procedures. (2%)

Qualifications

Must Have: MA State Pharmacy Tech license.

Experience in translating prescriptions, updating patient profiles, and following regulatory guidelines is essential.
