Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Must be 18 years old
• Ability to handle highly confidential information
• Meets minimum state requirements to perform the functions related to the position

Desired Qualifications:

• Any previous comparable experience
• Any equivalent experience of a pharmacy clerk
• EPRN familiarity

Responsibilities include:

• Comply with local, state and federal regulations; report all illegal activity, including robbery, theft or fraud
• Follow all food safety, sanitation and safety regulations/guidelines/procedures and programs according to company, local, state, and federal health code regulations
• Understand and perform ordering functions with primary and secondary wholesalers
• Manage inventory and medication ordering per company guidelines
• Maintain clean and organized work stations and customer areas
• Count, measure, and prepare specified products
• Complete billing procedures accurately
• Answer phones and assist customers inquiries
• Adhere to guidelines on accepting vendor coupons and handling cash and electronic transactions
• Provide excellent customer service and assist pharmacists as needed
• Follow HIPAA regulations and company policies on patient confidentiality
• Support health and wellness initiatives
• Handle legend orders and deliveries
• Work cooperatively in high-paced environments and manage conflicts professionally
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
• Follow directions and seek assistance when necessary
• Support interactions with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
