Pharmacy Technician - Bilingual Spanish
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-5:30 PM, with a 30-minute lunch
Weekend Requirement: Every other Saturday
Pay: $22-$23HR
We are seeking a Bilingual Spanish Pharmacy Technician to support daily pharmacy operations and provide excellent service to patients.New graduates are welcome to apply-training will be provided on the job.
Responsibilities
- Input and maintain accurate patient demographic information
- Process prescriptions using prescription processing software
- Screen and process prescription refills
- Verify refills and identify duplicate prescriptions
- Enter medication dosage and strength into the prescription processing system
- Verify third-party insurance coverage and ensure accurate billing
- Retrieve medications from pharmacy stock
- Count, pour, and mix pharmaceuticals as directed
- Affix prescription labels and properly package or repackage medications
- Verify patient identification using two forms of identification at will-call
- Maintain accurate pharmacy inventory
- Support the pharmacist with daily pharmacy operations
- Follow medication safety procedures and established protocols
- Comply with all applicable pharmacy rules, regulations, and organizational policies
- Provide professional and compassionate customer service to patients
Required Qualifications
- Current Pharmacy Technician License
- Fluent/Bilingual Spanish
- Strong customer service skills
- Dependable and punctual
- Hardworking and eager to learn
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous pharmacy technician experience
- Experience with Athena/EMR systems
- Pharmacy technician experience in a healthcare or community health setting
Schedule & Weekend Requirement
This is a 40-hour-per-week position.
- Monday-Friday: 9:00 AM-5:30 PM
- Every other Saturday is required, as Saturday is one of the pharmacy's busiest days
