Central Florida Health Care, Inc. seeks a Pharmacy Technician to assist the Pharmacist in a community pharmacy setting, handling preparation, computer entry, and dispensing of medications.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, Florida Pharmacy Registration, active BLS, and 1–3 months of technician experience, with strong math and equipment handling skills. Duties include maintaining records, assisting with billing, and ensuring HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Be familiar with CFHC’s program philosophies, goals, and objectives.
• Comply with all CFHC policies and procedures, and state and federal regulations.
• Understand and implement CFHC’s Exposure Control Plan.
• Ensure compliance with the plan by support staff you assist.
• Adhere to CFHC quality policies and participate in quality improvement activities.
• Follow safety and OSHA requirements.
• Mix pharmaceutical preparations and label bottles.
• Receive and store incoming supplies.
• Maintain equipment and glassware per prescribed methods.
• File invoices and hard copy prescriptions.
• Assist in third party billing preparations.
• Participate in drug review and product selection.
• Maintain proper drug storage and inventory records.
• Treat patients, staff, and visitors with courtesy and respect.
• Maintain patient confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines.
• Report to Pharmacy Director any pertinent information impacting patient care or CFHC liability.
• Attend CFHC meetings as required by leadership.
• Make recommendations on purchases of supplies and equipment.
• Pursue professional growth through in-service and CE programs.
• Maintain a neat and professional appearance at all times.
• Carry out other duties as assigned by Pharmacy Director, CCO or CEO.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONSinclude, but are not limited to, the following:

• Maintain proper and safe drug storage and maintain accurate inventory and sales records
• Treat patients, staff, and visitors with courtesy, sensitivity, and respect
• Maintain patient confidentiality per HIPPA guidelines
• Report as needed to Pharmacy Director any pertinent information or situations that impact on patient care or CFHC liability
• Attend and participate in mandatory CFHC meetings (Center Specific quarterly meetings, Corporate meetings, and other meetings as designated by the CCO or CEO)
• Make recommendations to the Pharmacy Director regarding the purchase of pharmacy supplies, instruments, and equipment, and repair and/or maintenance of these
• Enhances professional growth and development by attending in-service meetings and continuing education programs
• Maintain neat and professional appearance at all times
• Carry out any other activities deemed appropriate by the Pharmacy director, CCO or CEO
