Job summary

Havasu Regional Medical Center in Lake Havasu City, AZ is seeking a qualified Pharmacy Technician to provide distributive services, support the registered pharmacist, and maintain inventory. The role involves medication preparation, dispensing support, and contributing to medication safety in a busy hospital setting.

Applicants should have a High School diploma or equivalent, be registered with the state board, and hold PTCB certification.

• PTCB Certified Pharmacy Technician.

Responsibilities

• Provide distributive pharmacy services and support for the registered pharmacist, including medication preparation, dispensing support, inventory control, and related clerical tasks.
• Refill and maintain automated dispensing system.
• Fill medication carts daily.
• Prepare orders and maintains pharmacy inventory.
• Repackages bulk medications as needed.
• Compounds sterile and hazardous products per established procedures.
• Maintain drug inventory, including purchases, returns, restocking, stock rotation, backorders, recalls, shortages, and loan/borrow processes.
• Participate in performance improvement and required education.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
• Medication reconciliation.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
