Job summary

Trinity Health Grand Haven Hospital is hiring a Pharmacy Technician for day shift. The role involves preparing, packaging, and distributing medication orders, and supporting pharmacists and medical professionals.

Minimum six months in pharmacy, Michigan technician licensure upon hire, and completing PTCB certification within five months. We offer day-1 benefits, comprehensive health plans, and opportunities for growth within the Trinity Health system.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• State of Michigan Pharmacy Technician temporary licensure upon hire.
• Must obtain PTCB certification within 5 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, packages, and distributes medication orders per physician/pharmacist request.
• Completes ASHP didactic learning modules as assigned.
• Achieves passing scores on quizzes and tests related to ASHP didactic learning.
• Completes all experiential learning activities as assigned.
• Provides customer service to medical professionals.

What You Will Need

• High school diploma or GED equivalent, preferred associate or bachelor’s degree
• State of Michigan Pharmacy Technician as a Temporary Licensure upon hire.
• Must achieve Pharmacy Technician Certification through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) within 5 months of hire.
• Minimum six months of pharmacy work experience.

What You Will Do

• Prepares, packages, and distributes medication orders per physician/pharmacist request, or prearranged work assignment.
• Complete ASHP didactic learning modules as assigned.
• Achieve a passing score on all quizzes and test related to ASHP didactic learning.
• Complete all experiential learning activities as assigned.
