Job summary

Ireland Army Health Clinic (IAHC) Pharmacy at Fort Knox, KY seeks a Pharmacy Technician for a Direct Hire Solicitation. US Citizens only. Registration preferred but not required.

About the Position

Position located at Ireland Army Health Clinic (IAHC) Pharmacy and Binter Street Pharmacy, Fort Knox, KY. Standard duty hours are Monday through Friday, 0800-1630 (closed on weekends and all Federal holidays).

Registration as a certified pharmacy technician is preferred not required.

Specialized experience

One year specialized experience such as filling prescriptions, distributing pharmaceuticals, and utilizing pharmacy based computer systems gained in hospital pharmacies, retail pharmacies, or in pharmaceutical firms or laboratories.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-05.

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you may qualify if your education meets the definitions below:

Education

One half year (9 semester hours) of graduate-level education in Pharmacology or a related field of study, from an accredited college or university.

OR

Combination of Experience and Education Substitution: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 9. Add the two percentages.
