Job summary

Health Advocates Network, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician in Folsom, CA. The role involves assisting pharmacists with dispensing medications, processing prescriptions, and maintaining accurate records.

Expect a 40-hour week and a local pay rate of $21.45 per hour (W2). Applicants should hold PTCB or NHA certification with CA registration, have at least one year of relevant experience, and provide PSV with compliance documents.

Qualifications

• PTCB or NHA certification required with CA registration.
• High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
• Minimum of one year related work experience as Pharmacy Tech.
• PSV from licensing board if required by client.
• Copy of current required certifications (e.g., BLS) and compliance docs.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in preparing, packaging, and dispensing medications.
• Receive and process prescription orders accurately.
• Measure, count, label, and package medications per procedures.
• Maintain medication inventory and restock supplies as needed.
• Process insurance claims and assist with prescription billing.
• Keep accurate pharmacy records and documentation.
• Ensure proper storage and expiration management.
• Provide courteous customer service and refer clinical questions to the pharmacist.
• Follow policies, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Shift Details:

• Mon Fri 0800-1600 *provider will be working 7.5 hours per day instead of 8
• 40 hours / week

Pharmacy Technician Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assist pharmacists in preparing, packaging, and dispensing medications.
• Receive and process prescription orders accurately.
• Measure, count, label, and package medications according to established procedures.
• Maintain medication inventory and restock supplies as needed.
• Process insurance claims and assist with prescription billing when applicable.
• Maintain accurate pharmacy records and documentation.
• Ensure medications are stored properly and within expiration guidelines.
• Provide courteous customer service while directing clinical questions to the pharmacist.
• Follow pharmacy policies, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient pharmacy work environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

• PTCB or NHA certification is required as well as technician registration with the state of CA
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must have minimum of one (1) year related work experience as Pharmacy Tech
• Additional certifications may be required.
• Copy of current, completedPrimary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
• Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., .BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test, or other client-specific requirements).
