Job summary

Compass Health Network in Festus is hiring a Pharmacy Technician to support the in-house pharmacy operations under the Pharmacist-in-Charge. The role focuses on accurate prescription processing, inventory control, and collaborative care with the multidisciplinary team.

Schedule is Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm, with a compensation range of $19.00 to $20.00 per hour. This position emphasizes precision, patient safety, and growth within a community-focused health system.

Qualifications

• High School/GED required for Certified Pharmacy Technician; preferred for State Registered Pharmacy Technician.
• At least one year of pharmacy technician experience required for Certified Pharmacy Technician; preferred for State Registered Pharmacy Technician.
• A valid, unrestricted driver's license and agency established minimum automobile coverage required.

Responsibilities

• Support prescription processing, including entering physician orders and preparing medications for pharmacist review
• Assist with medication dispensing and packaging
• Maintain accurate inventory, including ordering, receiving, and stocking medications and supplies
• Support controlled substance tracking, audits, and compliance activities
• Transport medications and pharmacy supplies to partner locations as needed
• Collaborate with pharmacists, providers, and care teams to ensure coordinated service delivery
• Assist with billing records, reporting, and general documentation
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives
• Support onboarding and training of new team members
• Perform other duties as assigned

The Pharmacy Technician works under the supervision of the Pharmacist-in-Charge to support day-to-day pharmacy operations and ensure accurate, efficient medication services. This role plays an important part in maintaining medication inventory, preparing prescriptions, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary care team to promote safe and effective pharmaceutical care.

Licensure / Certification
Applicants must meet one of the following qualification pathways:

State Registered Pharmacy Technician

• Must possess and maintain a State Pharmacy Technician Registration. If not obtained, must be able to obtain within 90 days of hire.

OR

Certified Pharmacy Technician

• Must possess and maintain a Pharmacy Technician National Certification.
