Summary

This position is accountable to work under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist and assist in the various activities of the pharmacy department to provide quality patient care. Pharmacy technicians will perform in accordance with established policies and procedures. Deviations must be approved by the supervising pharmacist.

Requirements include:

• One-year experience as a pharmacy technician within the inpatient pharmacy of the health system.
• Maintain National Pharmacy Certification.
• Respond to emails promptly and complete assignments on time.
• Rank above average on yearly evaluations.
• No active absences, tardy counseling, or behavioral issues within the past year.
• Demonstrate independence, time management, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work various schedules, perform repetitive motions, and lift at least 10 pounds.
• Must see and read physician orders and medication labels accurately and have manual dexterity.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
