Job summary

Low Country Health Care System in Virginia is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant to join our retail/pharmacy team. You will input and process prescriptions, handle the register, process insurance claims, and help maintain inventory while complying with all policies.

Must be registered with the South Carolina Board of Pharmacy; familiarity with Federal and state regulations is preferred. The role requires teamwork and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Input and process prescriptions.
• Run register to ring out prescriptions.
• Process insurance claims and resolve processing issues.
• Follow policies and procedures for the pharmacy department.
• Attend staff and department meetings as required.
• Assist in ordering and maintaining pharmacy inventory.
• Maintain all required permits and licensure as required by Federal and South Carolina laws.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by your supervisor.

Hours: Monday- Friday 8:30 am-5:00 pm
