Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD; must be licensed in SC.
• Experience: minimum 3 years as a pharmacist preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pharmacy staff.
• Oversee LCHCS pharmacies to ensure compliance with state/federal laws and 340b guidelines.
• Assist with review and negotiation of contracts with vendors for medications and supplies.
• Assist with review and negotiation of insurance contracts.
• Generate and review monthly and annual reports.
• Fill, dispense, and perform quality assurance on medications as prescribed by providers.
• Maintain knowledge of pharmacy software and hardware.
• Maintain pharmacy inventory and monitor for outdated drugs.
• Maintain records and files in accordance with regulations.
• Ensure funds and supplies are utilized efficiently and effectively.
• Provide medication consultation to patients and staff.
• Able to access and relay pharmaceutical information.
• Ensure readiness for audits and inspections by governing bodies.
• Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor.

Hours: Monday- Friday 8:30 am-5:00 pm

Qualifications: A Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy or Doctorate of Pharmacy and possess current licensure to practice pharmacy in the State of South Carolina.

Experience: A minimum of three (3) year's experience as a pharmacist is preferred. Must have thorough knowledge and ability to utilize a computerized pharmacy system. Should have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Job duties include but are not limited to:

• Supervise pharmacy staff
• Oversee LCHCS pharmacies to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations as well as 340b guidelines
• Assist with review and negotiation of contracts and partnerships with vendors pertaining to medication and pharmacy specific supplies and equipment.
• Assist with review and negotiation of insurance contracts
• Generate and review monthly and annual reports
• Fill, dispense, and perform quality assurance medications as prescribed by providers
• Maintain a working knowledge of pharmacy software and hardware
• Maintain pharmacy inventory
• Monitor stock for outdated drugs and dispose of through proper means
• Maintain records and files in accordance with regulations
• Ensure funds and supplies utilized efficiently and effectively
• Provide medication consultation to patients and staff
• Able to access and relay pharmaceutical information
• Ensure readiness for audits and inspections by governing bodies
• Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor
