Job summary

PharmaLogic is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support radiopharmaceutical compounding and dispensing under strict regulatory guidelines. The role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and customer service for internal and external clients.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares and dispenses radiopharmaceuticals per physician prescriptions and regulations.
  • Performs Quality Control testing on all dispensed products and ensures nuclear products meet quality standards.
  • Acts as a customer service liaison and assists in resolving customer complaints.
  • Ensures timely delivery of nuclear pharmacy products to predetermined customers when needed and handles returns.
  • Completes paperwork for deliveries and returns.
  • Assists with stocking and inventory tracking; notifies Pharmacy Manager of low supplies.
  • Follows SOPs and all safety standards and laws.
  • Performs other duties as required by Pharmacy Manager and Staff Nuclear Pharmacist.

Job description

As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play an essential role in assisting with the compounding and dispensing radiopharmaceuticals and other services to medical care providers and facilities under highly regulated State and Federal guidelines

Job Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Prepares and dispenses radiopharmaceuticals per physician prescriptions and Company, State and Federal regulations.
  • Performs Quality Control testing on all dispensed products. Assesses medications to determine identity, purity and strength. Ensure all nuclear products meet the quality and efficiency standards. Complies with all Company, State and Federal requirements for the handling and shipping of radioactive material. Keeps the laboratory clean as per regulatory specifications.
  • Acts as a customer service liaison for the company, including treating all internal and external customers with respect, listening to and assisting in resolving customer complaints. Informs management of complaints or requests in a timely manner.
  • If needed, ensures the timely delivery of nuclear pharmacy products to predetermined customers on specific routes while meeting internal schedule and quality standards. Unloads products as per client specifications while providing excellent customer service. Accept returns from clients where applicable. Break down delivery cases, dispose of radioactive materials and sanitizes lead pigs.
  • Completes appropriate paperwork for deliveries and returns.
  • Assists with the stocking of products and supplies throughout Facility as well as tracking inventory. Notifies the Pharmacy Manager when products or supplies are low, need to be re-ordered or replaced.
  • Follows Standard Operating Procedures while safely carrying out the responsibilities of position. Complies with all company safety standards, and all federal, state and local laws.
  • Performs other job-related duties as required by the Pharmacy Manager and Staff Nuclear Pharmacist.
Job Requirements I Skills I Education:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Must have and maintain clean driving record.
  • Ability to work a variety of schedules including evenings, holidays and weekends.
  • Must possess excellent critical-thinking, interpersonal communication and customer service skills. As well as good judgment and self-discipline.
  • Applicants must be at least 18 years old and possess a Valid State driver's license.
Physical Requirements:
  • Manual dexterity for manipulating small items.
  • Regularly lift at least 50 pounds throughout each shift and to be able to lift 75 pounds on occasion.
  • Able to handle standing, walking and sitting for 4+ hours with limited rest intervals.
  • Good eye-hand coordination; fair eyesight (with or without correction lenses) and normal hearing in at least one ear (hearing range of 20 Hz to 20 kHz).
  • Ability to analyze situations, set priorities and meet deadlines while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Effective organizational skills.
  • A commitment to continuous learning.
  • An ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
