Job summary

PharmaLogic is seeking a Delivery Driver for Davenport, IA to ensure timely delivery of nuclear pharmacy products on assigned routes. You will unload and assist customers, handle returns and paperwork, and maintain vehicle cleanliness while following safety procedures.

Qualifications

  • Ability to plan routes and drive safely in all weather and road conditions.
  • Willingness to work varied schedules including early mornings, days, nights, holidays, weekends, overtime, and on-call as needed.
  • Must possess excellent critical-thinking, interpersonal communication and customer service skills.
  • DOT training and certification obtained or to be obtained.

Responsibilities

  • Delivers nuclear pharmacy products to predetermined customers on specific routes and adheres to schedules and quality standards.
  • Unloads products and provides excellent customer service.
  • Acts as a customer service liaison and resolves complaints in a timely manner.
  • Accepts returns and disposes of radioactive materials per procedures; completes delivery/return paperwork.
  • Maintains cleanliness and inventory of vehicles and facility; notifies manager for low stock or needs to reorder.
  • Performs routine safety checks and pre-trip inspections; reports maintenance issues.
  • Follows SOPs and safety standards; complies with laws and company policies.
  • Works various shifts as required by location.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Pharmacy Manager.

Job description

Job Responsibilities and Duties:


  • Ensures the timely delivery of nuclear pharmacy products to predetermined customers on specific routes while meeting internal schedule and quality standards. Follow map/directions to locate delivery locations efficiently.

  • Unloads products as per client specifications while providing excellent customer service.

  • Acts as a customer service liaison for the company, including treating all internal and external customers with respect, listening to and assisting in resolving customer complaints. Informs management of complaints or requests in a timely manner.

  • Accepts returns from clients where applicable. Breaks down delivery cases, disposes of radioactive materials and sanitizes lead pigs.

  • Completes appropriate paperwork for deliveries and returns.

  • Maintains the cleanliness and appearance of the inside and outside of delivery vehicles and facility. Assists with the stocking of products and supplies throughout Facility as well as tracking inventory. Notifies Pharmacy Manager when products or supplies are low, need to be re-ordered or replaced.

  • Performs routine safety checks on vehicles and pre-trip vehicle inspections according to company guidelines. Immediately reports all vehicle maintenance issues or malfunctions to Pharmacy Manager.

  • Follows Standard Operating Procedures while safely carrying out the responsibilities of position. Complies with all company safety standards, and all federal, state and local laws.

  • Obtains required DOT training and certification.

  • Works various shifts based on the needs of the location

  • Performs other related duties as assigned by Pharmacy Manager.


Job Requirements │ Skills │Education:


  • High school diploma or equivalent with valid state driver's license required.

  • Must have and maintain clean driving record.

  • Must have ability to efficiently plan routes and exhibit proper driving etiquette.

  • Must have the ability to drive in all types of weather and road conditions safely.

  • Ability to work a variety of schedules including early mornings, days, nights, holidays, weekends, overtime, and on-call as needed.

  • Must possess excellent critical-thinking, interpersonal communication and customer service skills. As well as good judgement and self-discipline.

  • Prior driving, delivery and/or customer service experience preferred.

  • May be required to pass physical fitness (assessment of strength, endurance and stamina) to evaluate physical ability to perform regular duties of the job.


Physical Requirements:


  • Manual dexterity for manipulating small items; regularly lift at least 50 pounds throughout each shift and to be able to lift 75 pounds on occasion.

  • Able to handle standing, walking and sitting for 4+ hours with limited rest intervals;

  • Good eye-hand coordination; fair eyesight (with or without correction lenses);

  • Normal hearing in at least one ear (hearing range of 20 Hz to 20 kHz);

  • Ability to analyze situations, set priorities and meet deadlines while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced and dynamic environment;

  • Effective organizational skills;

  • A commitment to continuous learning;

  • An ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
