Job summary

RiteChoice Rx welcomes both experienced Pharmacy Technicians and individuals looking to enter the pharmacy profession. We are a fast-growing independent 340B pharmacy serving Philadelphia and surrounding areas, dedicated to fast, friendly, and affordable services.

No previous pharmacy experience is required to apply, and candidates who are willing to obtain the Pennsylvania registration and complete the necessary training can begin their careers in pharmacy with us.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare medication for patients.
• Receiving and verifying prescriptions.
• Process prescriptions using computer software.
• Assist health care providers and patients by greeting them in person and by phone, answering questions and requests, and referring inquiries to the pharmacist.
• Maintain pharmacy inventory by checking stock, placing and expediting orders, verifying receipt, and removing outdated drugs.
• Maintain a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Organize medications for pharmacist to dispense by reading orders, preparing labels, and calculating quantities.
• Maintain records by recording and filing physicians’ orders and prescriptions.

Job Duties:

• Prepare medication for patients

Requirements

• Previous pharmacy experience preferred, but not required.
• Current Pennsylvania Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Trainee registration preferred, but not required at the time of application.
• Must be willing and eligible to obtain the appropriate Pennsylvania registration before performing duties that require registration.
• Willingness to complete required training and develop pharmacy-related skills.
