Job summary

Job description

Job Summary

Work with a team of pharmacists and other pharmacy technicians to evaluate infusion medication requests and facilitate the prior authorization process. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and time management skills, be able to work in a team environment to provide safe and efficient care to patients through timely completion of the prior authorizations, follow through on all assigned tasks, be accountable for assigned work metrics, and commit to optimizing medication access for patients. Previous experience with completion of prior authorizations is preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Degree or Equivalent.
• Work Experience: 0-6 months.
• Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician by the State of South Carolina Board of Pharmacy (SCBOP) is required and must be maintained.
• Must obtain and maintain Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or ExCPT):
  • Within 1 year of November 1, 2023 for existing team members.
  • Within 6 months of hire for new team members.
  • Within 30 days post program completion for team members enrolled in an accredited pharmacy technician training program.

This position is onsite and is not eligible for remote flexibility.
