Technicians are often the first point of contact to assist our patients and customers to deliver an exceptional experience.

Responsibilities

Support the pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence within the store.
Ensure pharmacy operations run smoothly, prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately, and patient service exceeds expectations.
Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), best practices, and effective communication as part of the pharmacy team.
Contribute to a safe and inclusive culture where all people feel valued and empowered.
Complete a rigorous company training program and satisfy registration, licensing, and certification requirements according to state guidelines; duties may be restricted until requirements are met.
Carry out duties related to the following areas as applicable: production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off.

Immunization Support (where permissible)

Support immunizations and related responsibilities as allowed by law and training.
Educate patients about vaccines and refer questions to the Pharmacist-on-duty.
Monitor for adverse reactions and report per public health requirements.
Review and collect patient information; track and document as applicable.
Monitor and manage vaccine supplies.

Required Qualifications

Must comply with state board requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy (age, education, licensure/certification).
Minimum age: 16 if state board does not mandate otherwise; must have a high school diploma or be actively enrolled in a program.
State-level licensure and national certification requirements vary by state.

Essential Functions

Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe.
Attention and focus to concentrate on tasks and pivot as needed to meet patient and business needs.
Customer service and team orientation, with empathetic and caring interactions with patients.
Communication skills for interacting with patients and colleagues; active listening.
Mathematical reasoning to handle prescriptions, days’ supply, and quantities.
Problem resolution for patient or colleague interactions.
Physical demands including mobility, lifting up to 20 lbs, reaching, repetitive motion, and close visual acuity.
Other duties as directed by supervisor or manager.

Preferred Qualifications

1-3 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
Experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service settings.
Ability to work in the home store and across the market to meet business needs.

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on experience, education, geography and other factors.
