Job summary

Good Samaritan Health Center in Oregon is seeking a detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to support our mission-driven clinic. You will prepare and label medications, manage inventory, and process prescriptions in our pharmacy and EHR systems while assisting patients with refills and questions.

Job description

Good Samaritan Health Center seeks a detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to support our mission-driven clinic serving underserved communities. Working alongside pharmacists and an interdisciplinary care team, you will prepare and label medications, manage inventory, process prescriptions in our pharmacy and EHR systems, and assist patients with refills and medication questions within your scope. You'll uphold safety, accuracy, and HIPAA standards while contributing to compassionate, faith-informed, whole-person care in a collaborative, fast-paced clinical environment.

  • Prepare and label medications under pharmacist supervision, ensuring accuracy and safety
  • Enter and verify prescription information in pharmacy and EHR systems
  • Maintain inventory, including ordering, stocking, and managing medication storage and expiration dates
  • Support medication reconciliation and refill coordination for clinic patients
  • Assist patients and clinical staff with medication questions, refills, and prior authorizations within scope
  • Follow all safety, infection control, and HIPAA policies in a clinical pharmacy setting
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team to support whole-person care
  • Contribute to a compassionate, faith-informed environment focused on underserved patients
