Job summary

Good Samaritan Health Center in Atlanta seeks a compassionate Pharmacy Technician to support safe, accurate medication dispensing within our faith-based, community clinic. In this full-time role, you'll process prescriptions, manage inventory, assist with insurance and billing, and provide respectful, culturally sensitive support to patients.

Qualifications

  • Registered Pharmacy Technician per state requirements.
  • CPhT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist pharmacists with accurate preparation and labeling of prescriptions.
  • Verify patient information and input prescriptions into pharmacy software/EHR.
  • Manage inventory, including ordering, stocking, and checking expiration dates.
  • Support insurance processing, prior authorizations, and patient billing questions.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant pharmacy work area.
  • Educate patients on medication pick-up procedures and basic usage instructions.

Responsibilities
  • Assist pharmacists with accurate preparation and labeling of prescriptions
  • Verify patient information and input prescriptions into pharmacy software/EHR
  • Manage inventory, including ordering, stocking, and checking expiration dates
  • Support insurance processing, prior authorizations, and patient billing questions
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant pharmacy work area
  • Educate patients on medication pick-up procedures and basic usage instructions per pharmacist direction
  • Collaborate with the care team to support whole-person, mission-driven care for underserved patients
  • Protect patient confidentiality and follow all HIPAA and pharmacy regulations
