Responsibilities

• Under supervision of a Registered Pharmacist, fills prescriptions and prepares IVs.
• Enter data into computer system to fill prescriptions and obtain reimbursement payments.
• Prepackages medication for dispensing and assists in final checking of filled prescriptions.
• Assist in ensuring accurate and timely delivery to customers.
• Maintain inventory practices including receiving, rotating inventory, posting lot numbers and expiration dates.
• Keep a clean, safe work environment; monitor equipment calibration and cleanliness.

Job description

TCI has an immediate need for a Pharmacy Technician in Tulsa, OK. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity.

Note: This position requires US Citizenship and work is performed on-site.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Works under direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist, fills prescriptions and prepares IVs.
• Works with Billing Supervisor to enter data into computer system to fill prescriptions and to obtain reimbursement payment.
• Works under direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist in prepackaging medication for dispensing according to standards and government regulations.
• Assists the Pharmacist in final checking of filled prescriptions, which may include stating the medication for RPh final review and/or packaging of medication post RPh final review and coordinating accurate and timely delivery to the customer.
• Assists Pharmacy Management in maintaining good inventory practices which may include receiving and rotating incoming medications and supplies, posting lot numbers, expiration dates and assisting in physical inventory.
• Works with Technician Supervisor in maintaining a clean/safe work environment, checking equipment for calibration, safety, and cleanliness.

REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
• Preferred experience in warehousing or distribution inventory management.
• Certified pharmacy technician licenses, if required by individual State Board of Pharmacy.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
