Job summary

Technology Consulting Inc. in Tulsa, OK is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for an immediate contract-to-hire role on-site. You will support a licensed pharmacist, prepare prescriptions, and assist in dispensing and inventory management.

Ideal candidates have experience with compounding, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to patient safety. Hours are 8:30am–5:00pm, Monday through Friday, with on-site work required.

Qualifications

• Experience with compounding and preparation of medications.
• Ability to work under supervision and follow regulations.

Responsibilities

• Fills prescriptions and prepares IVs under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist.
• Enter data into the computer system with Billing Supervisor to obtain reimbursement.
• Prepackaging medication for dispensing according to standards and government regulations.
• Assist in the final checking of filled prescriptions and packaging after RPh review.
• Assist in inventory management, including receiving, rotating medications and posting lot numbers/expiry dates.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment; support calibration, safety, and cleanliness of equipment.

Job description

TCI has an immediate need for a Pharmacy Technician in Tulsa, OK. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity. Note: This position requires US Citizenship and work is performed on-site.

We are seeking a knowledgeable and patient-focused Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Tulsa, OK.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Works under direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist, fills prescriptions and prepares IV's.
• Works with Billing Supervisor to enter data into computer system to fill prescriptions and to obtain reimbursement payment.
• Works under direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist in prepackaging medication for dispensing according to standards and government regulations.
• Assists the Pharmacist in final checking of filled prescriptions, which may include stating the medication for RPh final review and/or packaging of medication post RPh final review and coordinating accurate and timely delivery to the customer.
• Assists Pharmacy Management in maintaining good inventory practices which may include receiving and rotating incoming medications and supplies, posting lot numbers, expiration dates and assisting in physical inventory.
• Works with Technician Supervisor in maintaining a clean/safe work environment, checking equipment for calibration, safety, and cleanliness.

REQUIREMENTS

• Previous experience with compounding.
• Shift is 8:30am to 5:00pm M-F.
