Qualifications

Must be 17 years of age or older and eligible to sit for national technician certification within 1 year of hire.
Registration with Iowa Board of Pharmacy as a trainee prior to start of employment.
Must pass and maintain national technician certification as outlined by the Iowa Board of Pharmacy within 1 year of employment.

Responsibilities

Perform math calculations accurately (addition, subtraction, multiplication, divisions, percentages, fractions, metric system).
Exercise professional judgment when dealing with customers in the pharmacy.
Be competent with all hospital and pharmacy information system programs used by the pharmacy.
Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication with colleagues and customers.
Display Pharmacy Citizenship Standards in behavior and duties.
Organize, prioritize, and function under multiple stress factors in a busy setting.
