Job summary

UVM Health - UVM Medical Center is seeking a Pharmacy Technician Trainee to learn and perform medication order filling, deliveries, and technology management within a busy department. You will develop skills in sterile and non-sterile preparation while supporting team operations.

The role requires a high school diploma and a VT Pharmacy Tech license before start, with National Certification obtained within two years of hire; prior pharmacy experience is preferred.

Qualifications

Job Description

The Pharmacy Technician Trainee, performs those duties which do not require the professional training and judgment of a pharmacist. The technician trainee will learn and demonstrate the mastery of filling medication orders, deliveries to patient care and ancillary areas, managing technology including PYXIS packer and PYXIS control cabinets, effective operation of the department while staffing as team leader, sterile and non-sterile product preparation

Education

High School Diploma or GED required. Trainee will obtain their Pharmacy Tech license with the State of Vermont Board of Pharmacy before the start of employment. They must achieve their National Certification within two years of their date of hire.

Experience

Pharmacy experience preferred or related work experience.
