Job summary

The Pharmacy Technician Trainee performs duties that do not require the professional training and judgment of a pharmacist. The trainee will learn to fill medication orders, deliver to patient care areas, and manage technology including PYXIS packer and PYXIS control cabinets, while staffing as team leader, and handling sterile and non-sterile product preparation.

Education requirements include a High School Diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Trainee will obtain Pharmacy Tech license with the Vermont Board of Pharmacy before the start of employment.
• They must achieve National Certification within two years of their date of hire.

Responsibilities

Experience

Pharmacy experience preferred or related work experience.
