Job summary

Berkshire Health Systems is offering a Retail Pharmacy Technician Trainee position at Berkshire Medical Center Pharmacy to train and certify as a MA-licensed pharmacy technician. The program includes didactic courses and supervised practice under a preceptor.

The trainee will assist technicians, gain clinical skills, and perform duties under supervision, with flexible hours and opportunity to become a certified technician after completion.

Qualifications

• Entry level; no experience required.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• PHTECT - Registered MA Pharmacy Tech or Trainee; pass boards after minimum hours.
• Successfully completes the pharmacy technician didactic courses within the time frames specified by the preceptor.
• Flexibility to cover vacations and earned time absences; flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Assist other technicians in the BMC Pharmacy.
• Participate in Berkshire Health Systems Certified Pharmacy Technician Education Program.
• Work under the direction of the preceptor pharmacist/Lead Pharmacist.
