Mission Trail Baptist Hospital in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Pharmacy Technician Supervisor to oversee technician staff under a licensed pharmacist and to support efficient workflows and automated operations. This role emphasizes supervision, training, and adherence to regulatory standards.
Responsibilities include supervising preparation, packaging, labeling, delivery, inventory management, and QA documentation while coordinating with the automation team for ADCs, packagers, barcode printers
This position may qualify for a sign on bonus
Supervises all pharmacy technician staff, under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Duties include overseeing pharmacy technician preparation, packaging, delivering and charging of medication orders to ensure efficient technician workflow and optimal automation operations; maintain adequate medication stock levels and proper storage of medications; interviews, hires and trains pharmacy technicians. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM EDUCATION: High School Graduate or equivalent
PREFERRED EDUCATION: Bachelors Degree
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Three years hospital pharmacy experience
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Possession of current Texas State Board of Pharmacy Registration. Pharmacy Tech certification (based on state requirements).
PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: IV Admixture Certification
