Job summary

Enterprise Pharmacy is seeking a part-time Pharmacy Technician to support Transitions of Care Services in Acute Care. The role involves completing area-specific work, serving as a technical expert, and ensuring timely documentation while coordinating with patients and the care team.

Qualified candidates will have a state pharmacy license or registration, CPhT or ExCPT certification, and typically 3 years in health care or pharmacy. Strong communication and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Registration/Licensure with state board of pharmacy
• Certification through Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (CPhT) or ExCPT
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Associate’s Degree in Pharmacy Technology (NC) for technicians with validating responsibilities
• Typically 3 years of health care, insurance, pharmacy, or medical experience

Responsibilities

• Completes area-specific work per standard processes, procedures and policies
• Serves as an expert with equipment and technology in the specialized area
• Problem solves technical issues in the specialized area as they arise
• Ensures documents and records are accurate and completed in a timely fashion
• Supports communication with patients and care team
• Identifies quality improvement opportunities to ensure safe, effective, and efficient services
• Contributes to operational changes, site and system standardization
• Participates in site or system specialized work teams, committees, and councils
• Maintains current knowledge and collaborates with leadership to adopt best practices
