Job summary

Atrium Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support our Mount Airy operations within the pharmacy team. This is a full-time role on the first shift (8a-430p) with a $6,000 sign-on bonus eligible for qualified candidates.

Required: High School Diploma or GED; NC tech registration; CPhT or ExCPT certification; and about 3 years in healthcare/pharmacy. Training and growth opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• For NC technicians with validating responsibilities, an associate degree in pharmacy technology is required.
• Registration/licensure with state board of pharmacy per state of employment requirements.
• Certification through Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (CPhT) or National Health Career Association (ExCPT).
• Typically requires 3 years of experience in health care, insurance industry, pharmacy, or medical background.

Responsibilities

• Completes area-specific work per standard processes, procedures and policies.
• Acts as an expert with equipment and technology in the specialized area.
• Solves technical issues in the specialized area as they arise.
• Maintains accurate and timely documents and records.
• Supports communication with patients and care teams.
• Identifies quality improvement opportunities to ensure safe and effective care.
