Position Summary...

What you'll do...

Processes member purchases by operating a cash register and related hardware, using appropriate procedures for different payment types and items sold. Maintains merchandise presentation in the pharmacy by stocking, rotating merchandise received from distribution centers and suppliers, removing damaged or out-of-date goods, setting up, cleaning, and organizing product displays, signing and pricing merchandise, and securing fragile and high-shrink merchandise. Maintains the Pharmacy area in accordance with company policies and procedures by properly handling claims and returns, utilizing equipment for merchandising functions such as pricing, creating signs, verifying on-hand merchandise, and identifying shrink and damages. Completes and retains required paperwork, logs, and documentation. Monitors and resolves issues in the prescription fulfillment process, including processing insurance claims, rescanning images, alerting patients to inventory issues, partial fills, and physician authorization needs. Promotes and maintains the pharmacy's professional reputation by assisting with prescription fulfillment, processing insurance claims, helping patients with orders, and securing necessary documentation. Provides patient/member service by acknowledging members, identifying needs, initiating prescription processes, creating orders, promoting products, resolving issues, and maintaining a safe shopping environment. Enters prescription data into pharmacy software, transcribes prescription information, and creates or modifies patient records. Fills prescriptions by retrieving orders, measuring medications, and operating dispensing systems to ensure accuracy. Assists during prescription pickup by verifying patient information, logging sales, and ensuring HIPAA compliance. Completes work assignments by collaborating with team members, prioritizing tasks, and seeking continuous improvement. Complies with company policies, standards of ethics, and integrity, embodying Walmart values and fostering a positive culture.
