Job summary

Walmart Inc. in Las Cruces, NM is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support prescription fulfillment, process payments, and maintain pharmacy merchandising and patient care in accordance with state and federal laws.

You will assist with insurance claims, print labels, enter prescription data, stock shelves, and ensure a safe, clean workspace. Requires state requirements to work as a Pharmacy Technician and certification within 9 months.

Qualifications

• Meets all state requirements to work as a Pharmacy Technician.
• Must obtain National Pharmacy Technician Certification issued by PTCB (PTCE) or NHA (ExCPT) within 9 months of job entry.

Responsibilities

• Processes member purchases by operating a cash register and related hardware with appropriate procedures for different payment types.
• Maintains pharmacy merchandising by stocking, rotating, signing, and pricing merchandise; ensuring safe displays and organized stock.
• Assists with prescription fulfillment, including data entry, labeling, counting, and preparation of medications.
• Handles third-party insurance claims, patient communication, and HIPAA-compliant documentation.
• Provides patient service at pickup, verifying patient information and processing sales in the TaSCO system.
