Tarrytown Expocare Pharmacy in Lawrence, KS is hiring a Pharmacy Technician for order entry, insurance claims adjudication, and handling order exceptions in a fast-paced long-term care setting onsite. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of retail or long-term care pharmacy experience, valid KS Pharmacy Technician license, and proficiency with FrameworkLTC and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year experience in a retail or long-term care pharmacy; 3 years preferred.
• Must possess a KS State Board of Pharmacy Technician License.
• Experience with FrameworkLTC is required.
• Type an average of 60 wpm.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Can meet order deadlines.
• Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Understands basic pharmacy language to interpret prescriptions.
• Can perform pharmacy calculations.
• Is available for occasional overtime.
• Must obtain a KS State Board of Pharmacy Technician License within 12 months of employment if not already certified.

• Accurately and efficiently enter new or renewed orders
• Adjudicate insurance claims and resolve rejections
• Properly handle order exceptions and clarifications such as refill-too-soon, invalid orders, etc.
