Job summary

Southcoast Health in Fall River, MA seeks a Pharmacy Technician - Oncology for per diem day shifts (7:00am–4:30pm). Under the Manager and Pharmacist, you will prepare products aseptically, batch medications, purchase supplies, and generate ADM reports following USP 797/800 guidelines.

The role requires a Massachusetts Pharmacy Technician registration, PTCB certification within 18 months, a high school diploma or equivalent, and 1 year of related experience (3 years preferred).

Shift: Day shift, 7:00am - 4:30pm

Location: Oncology - Fall River, MA

**Available to regular status employees who are scheduled to work a minimum of 24 hours.

Under the direction of the Manager, Pharmacy Oncology or Designee and direct supervision of the Pharmacist, perform a wide variety of duties involving responsibility in preparing products using aseptic techniques and batching medications following USP797/800 guidelines as well as performing all cleaning per guidelines. Other duties include the purchasing of supplies and medications and generating automated dispensing machine (ADM) reports with appropriate follow-up.

• High School graduate or the equivalent is required.
• Additional clinical course work or training is preferred.
• Massachusetts state registration as a Pharmacy Technician is required.
• Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) Certification is required within 18 months of hire.
• One year of related work experience is required; three years is preferred.
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired

Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.
