Saint Luke's Hospital in Kansas City, MO, is seeking a PRN/float Non-CERTIFIED Pharmacy Technician to support five KC-region pharmacies. Under pharmacist supervision, you input prescriptions, resolve insurance rejections, prepare medications for verification, and help with inventory and records.

Experience in retail pharmacy is preferred but not required; you must obtain MO and KS technician licenses and pass the PTCB exam within 18 months.

An As Needed – PRN - Pharmacy Technician will be scheduled to cover planned and unplanned absence of full-time or part-time technicians employed within BJC-Saint Luke's Region Retail/Outpatient Pharmacies – 5 locations (i.e. KC MO, Lees Summit, Overland Park, North KC MO). **Shift Details:*** **PRN - Float - no guarantee of scheduled hours each week*** **Availability to work Monday -Friday between 9AM -5:30PM*** **Must have reliable transportation to 5 Kansas City region pharmacies****The Work:*** Under the direct supervision of a pharmacist performs all accountabilities associated with input of prescription details, clarifying and resolving insurance rejections, preparing medication for final verification and distribution, managing inventory, managing records , interacting with customers and/or other professional clinical staff providing customer care.* All medications are checked for accuracy by a pharmacist per the rules and regulations of the State Board of Pharmacy prior to leaving the Department of Pharmacy.We are seeking a customer focused professional with a passion for healthcare. To be successful, you must enjoy repetitive work, able to multi-task while maintaining accuracy, and be very detailed oriented. This position will require you to stand and walk the majority of each shift.
