Saint Luke's North Hospital in the Kansas City metro is hiring a PRN/FLOAT Non-CERTIFIED Pharmacy Technician to cover planned and unplanned absences across five BJC-Saint Luke's region retail/outpatient pharmacies in KC MO, Lees Summit, Overland Park, and North KC MO.

Under pharmacist supervision, you will input prescriptions, resolve insurance rejections, prep meds for verification, manage inventory and records, and assist customers and staff.

The Opportunity

Saint Luke's Hospital is currently hiring an PRN/FLOAT Non-CERTIFIED PHARMACY Technician . An As Needed - PRN - Pharmacy Technician will be scheduled to cover planned and unplanned absence of full-time or part-time technicians employed within BJC-Saint Luke's Region Retail/Outpatient Pharmacies - 5 locations (i.e. KC MO, Lees Summit, Overland Park, North KC MO).

Shift Details

PRN - Float - no guarantee of scheduled hours each week

Availability to work Monday -Friday between 9AM -5:30PM

Must have reliable transportation to 5 Kansas City region pharmacies

The Work

Under the direct supervision of a pharmacist performs all accountabilities associated with input of prescription details, clarifying and resolving insurance rejections, preparing medication for final verification and distribution, managing inventory, managing records , interacting with customers and/or other professional clinical staff providing customer care.

All medications are checked for accuracy by a pharmacist per the rules and regulations of the State Board of Pharmacy prior to leaving the Department of Pharmacy.

We are seeking a customer focused professional with a passion for healthcare. To be successful, you must enjoy repetitive work, able to multi-task while maintaining accuracy, and be very detailed oriented. This position will require you to stand and walk the majority of each shift. Retail Pharmacy Technician experience is highly preferred, but not required.

This employee will be required to become and maintain their license/registration with both Missouri and Kansas Board of Pharmacy as a pharmacy technician. Employee will be required to pass the certified pharmacy technician exam prepared by PTCB within 18 months of their hire date. Employee must have transportation to allow the individual to work at any of the 5 BJC-Saint Luke's region Retail Pharmacy locations.
